Neighbor gal's 94 sable will not start and has a history of not starting when she needs cigs or to go pay a bill. It has a newer starter and good battery. Alternator hasn't shown any characteristic symtoms of failure. Last time the car wouldn't start or even turn, just click, I figured it was probably a switch in the column that prevents the car from starting unless in park or neutral. The key would turn all the way to start, but the motor would still not turn. I started jiggling the shift lever as I turned the key and presto. It fired right up. the owner has had to use that trick a few times and succeeded. But now, with no cigs and a roadrunner bill to pay by tommarrow, it will not start. I would like to know where the starter relay is located, Where the heck is the neutral safety switch, Where can the wirenut that may have to bypass it go, and most importantly am I on the right track?
