my 330 sucks so does my 1/8th mile. 60' could also be better.

The 1-2 shift I spun horribly and the 2-3 shift I spun alittle. My clutch was also slipping in 4th...it was an exedy street disc...maybe I can get some pics up if I find my camera that thing was SHOT.

102 trap for 14.6 is fast he should have gone faster but you dont run your best time everytime.

When I first got my car no nitrous I was runnin 15.4's in the high 80 mph range with 2.3-2.5 60's after weeks of practice at the track I got it down to a 14.7 @ 93 mph with 2.1-2.2 60's.

I can run 14's too.....

The problem is most people can't get excited about a supercharged cavalier and you'll just have to deal with it.


On a side note I believe motor trend put out a comparison test on the cobalt ss (supercharged cavalier) vs the srt-4 and though the cobalt held its own on the track I believe the srt-4 was handicapped somehow as stated at the beginning of the article.

yeah in the article they said "the engine was still green with less then 1000 miles on the odo" previously they tested the 04 srt-4 as 0-60 in 5.5 and 1/4 14.0 @ 102.7 so i either think A) they had a "green engine" or B) they can't drive the srt-4 lol. I have the motortrend mag in question in my posetion.

the Srt-4 IS faster then the SS and RL but i understand Motortrends take on the cars. The SS and RL are the new kids on the block its thier time to shine. I am just happy domestic car companies are finally makeing "performance" cars i can afford.

Thanks for the vids. They were good. But truthfully, I don't go shooting my mouth off about 13 Sec Civics, or even 11 Sec Civics. Agreed, I have only seen 2 ls1 cars dip into the 12s at the track, 1 was a c5, the other was a WS6 that was heavily modded, and it ran a 12.8. Most i've seen at the track that had headers/exhaust were 13.4 or so. This is at 1000 feet above sea level. Repeat the same for Mustangs, except add 1 second (most run 14s, few into the 13s).

Not thinking you are talking to me. The other guy has a LS6 cam. While it is cammed, it is a VERY small cam compared to the bigger cams out there.
The fastest 'cam-only' LS1 car is 10.5. Stock heads and bolt-ons.

I run at 5800 feet above sea level. You want my NHRA corrected times?? It is roughly a best of 12.8 at like 113-114 MPH. Yeah, traction impaired. Slipping stock clutch doesn't help.

And yes, there are LS1 cars that have hit 12's, STOCK. I know a guy that has done it. It takes a perfect day at the track, but it can be done.

I have been banned twice, once in the honda forum once in the cavalier forum...once for giving my opinion on someones car which I was out of hand the other I was defending myself after people started to flame me because I drove a honda...it goes both ways pal.

Did you put on your supercharger? do you do all your own work? if so then ill give you credit for that good job, if not then...you dont deserve any credit for work or effort. Your car is stock looking and clean, good job on that, I really dont have a problem with any of you, I honestly dont like cavaliers any but thats my opinion im entitled to that.

I think we truely let our tempers get the best of us here and I know we've all been there. Whether you've been stereotyped as a 'ricer' or an 'ignorant domestic lover' to stereotypes that get more involved with your car or style. I know we've all had it happen and it sucks.

Hell I remember having a mustang owner call me a ricer on a different forum for liking the 2g eclipse gsx. I took great offense to that and unleashed on him, pointing out that the picture of the mustang in his signature showed a huge unnecessary wing, making him look stupid and withdraw but no one really withdrew this time and it got out of hand.

Most of us here have the same goal and that is to work on our car one way or another whether its for speed or looks and for that I have a great deal of respect for most people here.

making a Honda fast is old, there are so many quick hatches out now with b22/b18 swaps its like standard now. When one of the first things you ask a Civic hatch now is "what engine swap did you do?" you know it's done too much. Now a supercharged Cavalier, that's something thats different.
