e check

could anyone tell me what you would need to fix if your car doesn't pass the e check due to high hydrocarbons.

My first though is check the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation), and EECS (Evaporative Emission Control System), and all the vaccum lines that run to these systems,
PCV (positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve, and MAP (Manifold Air Pressure Sensor)
And the 02 sensor, and Catalytic converter
and lastly the ECTS (Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor) - it can often times make a car run rich

There are many things that can cause a car to not pass emissions,

Do You Burn Oil?
Does the car idle Rough?
How is your gas milage?

can you post all the numbers?
