WHAT DID THEY DO TO THE STYLING OF THE IMPALA?!?!?
Does Anyone else feel the same as I do that they ruined the look. I heard all this hype about how great it is in 2006. I think I'll keep my 03 or get an 05 before I would ever buy a 2006. But anyhow.. just curious as to what the general consensus is :)

In 2000 you couldn't say the Impala looked like anything else.
I very much dislike the new look, The rear more-so than the front. I was diggin the round lights, when painted of course.
As glad as I was they added a V8 for the SS, I was quickly dissapointed by the FWD part of it. Give us our RWD V8 SS ALREADY!

GM is hacking up its complete "W" body line up. The Grand Prix and Regal (now LaCrosse) were first, Impalas are next. What will they do next?

Rear wheel drive is great for GM's high performance cars, trucks and SUVs, etc. However, GM has killed the Zeta program (rear wheel drive program) for 2008 models and up, so the real future of those type vehicles is bleak too.

although they may change the styling a little, i highly doubt they will.
I like the new impalas, and i like the look of the 06' impalas also, BUT i dislike the front end, i think they should of kept it much like the same as it was in 00' and up.

I always figured the first 10-20 years of automobiles looked about the same... it just takes time to implement power with style.
