Windshield wipers stop in upright position

I am told all I need to do is bend the bracket tab back in place and that should fix my problem. Does anyone know or have a picture of this tab so I know I will be bending the thing back? I am down to were the motor is on my Impala. Do I need to remove the gears to get to the bracket tab? I see a tab just outside the gears motor on the right side of the gears (driver side). Is this what I need to bend back in or is it under the gears motor?
