My 98 Windstar passenger power window suddenly stopped working.
Both the driver and the passenger control switches for this window are not working. I took it the passenger door panel off to expose the motor
to see if it was defective. Hooked up a 12 volt battery charger to the motor to see if the motor was bad. The window went up and down with no problem. The switches sound good. Can anyone out there suggest
where my problem might be. Thank You.

Have you tried replacing the One Touch Down Relay or a related fuse in the fuse box under the dash?
It may be fuse #34 and #40 @30 amp

I looked at the passenger front power window in my '98 this morning. The window motor was getting power from the switch. After taking off the door panel, I tapped on the motor with a small hammer, and it started working. Been working all day...but don't know for how much longer. Brushes/contacts inside motor must have been very slightly "frozen".

LOL I just did that to on my 2001 and I taped the motor and works fine. I dont know what to say but it could have just froze up a little.
