realistic door jambs?

So I've noticed a common theme on the good completed projects here is that the doorjambs and cracks look really realistic. Are you guys just carefully painting them black with a brush, or is there a better method? I couldn't find anything in the FAQ on it...

Do you mean panel lines?
If so try a search, it has been discussed many times before, with lots of different techniques suggested.
