Hi all this is my first post to this forum. My wife replaced a dead battery a few days ago, but when she did she hooked it up backwards for a few minutes. After she realized she had it in backwards she put it in the correct way and now it wont start. The car will turn over but won't start. It seems to me like it isn't getting any fuel. What are the possible problems caused by this? Please help!

Hmm... i hope you didn't fry the computer, but that is a posibility as the capacitors hold charge and you put the oppisite on it...

the wire for ground also hooks up to the body of the car, so you put a hot across anything typically grounded to the body of the car, and in some cases, i think that could cause a short. Searching the forums i read some things about a fusible link that could get blown... problems that can cause with the alternator or (my own thought) ignitor... maybe if your lucky, it would be the ignitor or a blow fuse.

Good luck... :(

check fuses in the car and under the hood first then go from there
