Other then whats in bold, that should be the only difference between the two 2nd gen b16. Yes I belive USDM parts will work on it such as long as they are for a b series motor. I've been told parts for a Del Sol that has a b16 is the way to get b series parts.... havn't had to buy a lot of parts for it yet though....

whenever i get parts for my motor i get them for a delsol vtec, the delsol si came with the d16z6, so make sure you tell them its a dohc. or i also get parts for a 99-00 si. havent had a problem with it yet.

Doesn't the B16A 92-95 SiR II have 170 hp instead of 160?

HMO's motors are emissions legal, right?

Fuck no, their straight JDM.... I dont think any true JDM motor is emissions legal....

For real?

Damnit that sucks. I have emissions here in Texas so I don't know what I'm going to do. Maybe I can find someone to hook me up, hehe.

Find a small town that dosn't have emissions and reigster it there. Thats what I plan to do. Or find someone with a spare motor, drop that bitch in, pass and drop the JDM in...

i have a guy that i just met and he has a b16 with only 38k miles and he wants 700 for it i will hafe to get every thing on my own like trans , ecu, so on and so on what do you think buy it or just get the set from hmo

Thats a personal decision. Buying it from hmo, you get everything. Before I jumped to a deciscion, if I was you, price everything you need (tranny, axels, mounts etc...) and compare the two.... which ever you decide is better you should do. Since HMO's motors come with 30000 on them and the basic b16 package from hmo is 1250 with just motor, tranny, and ecu, your b16 for 700 might not be bad, if you get all the other parts you need for under 500-600.

Also what b16 is it, just a b16a2, 2nd gen jdm b16, or a jdm b16?
