dude id so love to put you in your place with my 4 cylinder cavalier. That always shuts up v6 mustang drivers. You drive a v6 mustang, its a econobox. Its not a sports car. its marketed towards middle aged women/ young girls who like the look of a mustang but dont care for power. I live in Dearborn michigan, home of the world headquaters for Ford motor company. I see more mustangs in my city than any, and i mean any other car. And close to 75% of them are v6 mustangs driven by chicks. Another 10% are v6 mustangs driven by cocky little boys, and the last 15% are GT's driven by guys prolly 25+. Usually older men. Nothing puts a bigger smile on my face than the expression on a v6 mustang drivers face when a cavalier walks away from them.

i edged him out when my car was stock, though. one day I will go for the 330ci I know somebody with one but he aint into racing. Ima make him race me when i get enough mods.

There is no such thing as a stock cavalier beating a mustang. And V6 mustangs are fast enough and can easily be made faster. And no,a honda civcs si stock cannot beat v6 mustang stock. Thats a fact go look it up. I know what cars I cant F*ck wit and I dont race them seriously. But all the cars I say i can beat its because I have beat them. And I have smoked many, many sunfires and cavaliers so saveit, hundai Tiborons have ate my dust also, so has a scion tc (which are slow), Why the hell do Tiborons have dual exhaust when they dont even have 200 horses? There is a sunfire with dual exhaust too but its slow as hell. ANd Preludes (which i thought were fast b4 i raced one) are whack, I beat one with my v6 stang when it was stock.

OK. I trust you are correct. So if you had 20k and could go get any car, you would go rush for a new v6 stang? MY ASS! What year prelude did you race? If it wasn't a vtec model, you have nothing to brag about. The non vtec ones are 17 second cars (The 92-96 S model). You seem to judge cars quickness (Im not saying how fast they are, because yours is slow) by there looks. Your all like ''Camaros look like dodge intrepids, they must suck!'' My opinion: mustangs as far as im concernd have gone right down the shitter. just quietly as has the entire muscle car image

k i might b stepping on a few toes here but its only my opinion (and im not trying to change ANY1's mind) To me a muscle car is old, fast and mean, with a motor so loud u cant talk over it and a leaky roof. THATS a muscle car not this crap that being produced today.

ill compare notes (oz) a v6 stang is like a v6 commonwhore, its the shit version of the V8.
and both handle like a freakin school bus.

personally i think handeling is more FUN than brute power, but a good combination is better still.
and by the sounds of it the V6 stang has neither.

my car handles well as long as the road is smooth. And i Have 2001 v6 stick mustang with the black writing, the permium package with the shaker 460 system and automatic seat. And if I had 20 thousand I would make my mustang faster than a 2005 mustang gt, and I would keep the single exhaust to let the dude with the evo, sti, gsr, turbo supra, etc know that he just got smoked by a v6 mustang.

Oh and the prelude I beat with my v6 mustang was a 1998. The one with 195 hp and 150 torque

From the "Encyclopedia of American Cars":
2001 Ford Mustang 2dr coupe, 3066 pounds (so you got the weight about right, they do go much higher with options and engine sizes up to 3400 pounds) Base engine 232 CID V6 (3.8L) 190 HP. (I think your inflating 5 more ponies there, oh that's right, you got CAI and a muffler, Ok, then you do have 195 ponies!)

Now since you like to pick on cars with less power and much less torque and the fact you dumped on Intrepids too by stating that a Camaro (???) looks like one (???), I think I can give you a pretty good run with it's Chrysler cousin namely my loaded 1994 LHS that seems to like playing with V6 Mustangs, admittedly sometimes it wins and sometimes it don't and it pushes about 3500 pounds with only 214 HP with a V6 engine that has .3 less liters than what your running, oh yeah, I took out the sound resonator in the Intake Tubing so it isn't breathing through a 1 1/2 inch hole so I guess it's now modded slightly so lets say I got maybe 220 HP now. Not saying I'll smoke your butt but I guarantee you will know I'm there and I won't be far behind, then again you never know because when your engine is laying down at the higher RPM (which most all Ford pushrod engines have allways seemed to do for years) I'm pulling very strong from 4K to redline (6500) and if I'm ahead when it gets there then your in trouble because it stays in that range with each gear change and keeps right on pulling.

But you may also think I'm a Mustang hater just because I'm posting and correcting your errors, that's fine with me, I also have raced a 79 Stang for 5 years strictly at the track and it will do high 11's, oh the fun I could have if it was street legal but I digress. Besides, that dude with the 10 second Civic definitely sounds like something even I wouldn't mess with, gotta hand it to that dude, he built one sick and speedy ride.

But anyway, I just can't help commenting about how much you think that Mustang you got is so badassed that you got to pick on people with less Cylinders, HP and Torque than what you have even if you are inflating the numbers. There is just so much iron out there foreign and domestic that you will never get a ghosts chance in hell of beating for the only reason being they will not even waste their gas showing you who is boss because they want more of a challange. Keep resting on your laurels bud because some day the word will get out about you picking on the small guys all the time and they will come out and hand you your ass so bad from jump street that by the time you get in 2nd gear all you will see is the speck of their tail lights. But my question will be, when it inevitably does happen and like the Dodge SRT-10 commercial and you get your doors tossed in the weeds will you have the balls to come back in here and crow about it? Somehow I don't think that anybody here will ever read that because YOU will be too embarrassed to post the fact that your "bad to the bone" V6 Stang got killed a very miserable death by someone with a vehicle that is more worthy than yours. And truthfully, I hope it's that 10 second Civic from that earlier posted timeslip that does you in, VERY HARD!

As we see here, this is a complete drivers race. And we know in a top speed run, the civic would run down the stang becuase V6's are governed at 115.


BTW And this car is the slowest car out of all the ones you mentioned......... just stop it man, seriously.

If Savior1974 is in fact right about those times, which I'm pretty damn sure he is. How in the world did you beat a 98 Prelude? They run low 15's, and have been known to dip high 14's stock.

good luck taking out turbo supras with even a super charged v6 stang. supras can make 450whp on bolt ons. and those are even considered to be mildly modded. most of the supras i see at my work at making 600+ whp. good luck on your quest.

i also second that. a stock prelude runs low 15's. but the driver has to be a capable driver as well. both cars running its best time should be pretty close. however i usually see marginally faster times coming out of a stock prelude. also a SE-R spec V can also run with you, those are also low 15 second cars. bottom line, no matter how you put it, your V6 is only good to race against the entry level sport compacts. still nothing special.

Think I'm going to stay out of this one. It's way too easy. :biggrin:

Quit while you're ahead, and I've got 200 stock HP and 225 stock torque...and is your car an auto or a manual...because that makes a huge difference on most fords.

Just so you know, a 325i runs a high 15.

Actually, its a mid to low, and faster than a V6 stang (15.4 v 15.6). And the best in person time I've seen a 330Ci ZHP run was a 14.76. The 330i with the ZHP runs a 14.8ish, and if its a non ZHP (which I dont even think are out there), its still probably a 14.9-15.0. Seriously, if you think you beat a 325i, I'll let you think that. But your wrong if you think that a "muffler" (Am I the only one who thinks this guy has a fart can on his 'Stang?), a gutted cat (thats the only thing I can think of as low restriction) and CAI dropped you from a 15.6 to a 15.2/15.3, then your an idiot.

I'd like to run you with my 92' se-r much less a spec V, and I bet you won't beat me by a "block" although I guess your muffler, and filter drop porbably help quite a bit......oh wait they don't :rofl: Get real when you have a 15 second car whooping 16 second cars and sometimes other 15's your not fast. In the real world where there a lot's of cars that will tear into you (15's are no reason to feel on top of the world).

anycar can be considered slow with comparison. i'm tired of the always bashing of honda... why not bash on toyota? anyone murder any tercel's lately?

Man, I come back to this and he's still going at it. I've been trying to shut his yap since page 2. Apparently he hasn't raced any GSR's or Type R's or any real VTEC Ludes. All he can brag about is beating the lower end model Civics and Tegs. He mentions "I don't race anything that I know is faster than me". That's the poorest excuse for a so called "racer" I have ever heard. So you pretty much like to pick on the slower cars, huh? Freaking pathetic.

Well guess what, since we are on the topic of beating slower cars, I walked a geo Metro, a prizm, and then I walked a few Suburbans, couple Tacomas, a Civic VX hatch, and a few other slow cars. Oh my god, my Civic EX is the fastest thing in the world! Pretty much how you sound realhate. Grow up. I dare you to race a faster car, not these 17, 16 second cars. Or even cars that are "somewhat" even with you. As far as I can say now, I appreciate DetroitMuscle, atleast he has the common sense to admit when he's wrong, and won't try to come up with any more lame ass excuses as to what cars he can beat.

Oh well, a Cobra can beat this car. Yada yada yada. Stay on the subject. Like Savior pointed out, you are pretty much even with the 99-00 Si's, and stock VTEC ludes will own your Stang as well. Also, let's not forget about DSM's and 3000 GT's(VR4). Truthfully, the only thing you seem to run down are econoboxes. You really have yet to face a true performance car. Face it, compared to cars even like that, your stang is still slow (not trying to offend any stang owners) and even those who have bought those new V6 Stangs mention they are slow and have moved on to better cars than yours. L8...
