hey guys
In the process of buying another windstar (my side panels met an old ladies honda civic) and just have a simple question.
http://images5.theimagehosting.com/DSCF1007.JPG (http://www.theimagehosting.com)
My old windstar had the trailer towing package, but the new one does not. the one i'm buying had been used to tow small utility trailers, but nothign more, so the wiring is already there. For those of you that have installed a transmission cooler on your van, how big of a job was it?
and what kind(make/model) of cooler did you use.
Thanks
STephen

I have a DERALE transmission cooler.
I saw it at http://www.bulkpart.com/ for a much better price that I paid.
I bought the 17,500 lbs GVW one.
I had to convert the 3/8" lines on mine to 5/16.....a couple of fittings.
I mounted mine higher than the factory one would be......more protected....and right in front of the fans.
I used the provided plastic things to hold it to the radiator....I was intimitated by the instructions to loosten the antilock brake module (that thing scares me).....in order to remove the fan assembly....so I scratched the heck out of my slim hands....and shoved my hands down in and secured the cooler without having to remove the antilock brake unit.....
Cooler has been there for a while....and is doing fine.....I am very happy with it......
