That is what it sounds like becuase that is where the fuel pump relay and injectors are controlled, but make sure all wires are properly hooked up to your current one before you go spend ~$800

See if you are getting reference voltages at your sensors, ECTS, IAT sensor, disconnect the wires and probe the harness side with a voltometer/multimeter set to 20 DCV, you should be getting about 5DCV from the PCM with the key in the on (not running position)

Have you checked for stored trouble codes?
Are any lights on (which lights/what do the lights do) when you put the key in the on position (not running)?

Good Luck with it,

"and there was no trouble codes came up as 12 all fuses was good ."

All 12 fuses in the Instrument Panel Fuse Box?

There is an underhood Fuse Box too, has alot more than 12 fuses...including your PCM 1 and PCM B, fuses which are to your ECU/PCM, might wanna check those too!

:)
Yeah, do let us know if that fixes your problem

$12... Where are you getting parts from?!, If I need to I may check that out and pay for shipping

There is also a fuel pump relay you can check/change...

Do you hear the fuel pump come on for 1-2 seconds after you turn the key over to on (not running) , this is when it pressurizes your fuel system for startup, if you dont hear this then the fuel pump or the wiring/relay to it are your problem

But I believe you should have still been getting a voltage from the PCM telling the injectors to fire lighting up the noid light.

Looking at a diagram, I got what you meant fuse #12 (Fuel pump) was good. Fuel Pump relay is right next to it.

Check your fuses in the underhood fuse box, they are more important to your situation.
Again, check your PCM1 PCMB fuses for your PCM/ECU as well as INJ fuse (injectors) and all 4 IGN fuses (ignition).

unless you already did and I have just misunderstood your post

I Live In Omaha Ne And We Ahave A Junk Yard Where You Pull Your Own Parts A New Fuel Pump Was 160 +/- 20 Dollars . I Have Check Every Thing With Fuses . Change The Pcm Checked And Changed Relay So Nexted Is The Pump. CHECKED RELAY YES THE POWER COMES ON FOR 2 SEC BUT NOT THE PUMP. Bob

wait a second backup- how did this all start? are you saying the orginal PCM was bad, you replaced it, and now you have a no start? what was the problem with the first PCM? what year did the new PCM come from? (please say 1992). if you remove the gas cap and listen, can you hear the pump? checked power to the pump? does the fuel gauge read?

It was already a no start condition

He had no fuel pressure, and the injectors weren't firing(per a noid light),

so he then assumed the PCM, pulled one from a junk yard and replaced it, it hasn't solved the problem. getting power at the Fuel pump relay too.

you should hear the pump trying to pull fuel for ~2 seconds before startup, not just check the relay for power to the pump (wires could be shorted between the two)

with no fuel pressure I'm tempted to say it is the fuel pump too. (if you can't hear the pump make a whining noise for that ~2 seconds, thats it)

Again though, the fuel pump should not attribute to the injectors not firing.

Did this happen all at once, car just wouldn't start, or was it sitting a while?

here's the deal if you look in the book it says to check pin 30 on the relay should be hot at all time . and it was not. but pin 87 was. so i was lost i took the whole fuse box apart to find out where pin 30 was at and it was the gray wire to the fuel pump . so i got the fuel pump running and change the injectors and the pressure regulator now it runs i got this car for 225 dollars to fix and sell think it cost me under 20 dollars for everything. that what happens when you buy a car that has set around for a while. now i got a 1998 sl2 to work on that i got for 150 . and got one more 1996 sl2 for 450 that needs number three fuel injector and that is what saturn dealers told him . so he just wants to sell the car . bob

Lucky...
I want your job, If I had the $ to do it, I might,

First, what book?
Second, how exactly did you get the fuel pump fixed?, why was the pin not hot?
Bad fuel relay or wiring?
Was pin 87 supposed to be hot, what does it run to?

Please :repost:

pin 87 is the hot side of the relay. from the chiltons manual. went got a fuel pump from the junk yard i go too. 87 is the hot side into the relay and 30 is out of the relay hot when the pcm flips it. 87 hot at all times the book has it backwards then the car.

Gotcha,
Thank You for the reply.
I was in a Haynes manual and it didn't have the pins for the relay listed, although I know whats what by 30 runnin to the fuel pump via diagram.
Glad you got it runnin,
$17 + $12 +Injectors +Presure Reg. = >$20
Unless you don't count the new/old PCM since it's still good,
But still cheap for what you did to it!

i have a price list that i go by if they charge me full price. but a lot of times i get my parts for free . depends on who is working the desk.
