putting leather in a new 2004 impala?

Ok, I just bought an impala yesterday. I was really undecided between a 2004 impala that had cloth seats and a 2005 impala that had some more options (onstar, moon roof, heated seats) and the seats were leather. There was a $4,000 difference in the price between the car i bought and the one with leather so I couldn't justify it. But the dealer said that they would cover any expenses to get it reapolstered with leather if the price goes over $1,000. I'm just wondering has anyone had their seats in an Impala reapolstered with leather and does it look good? Does it look like it was done in a guy in a shop or does it look factory? I know that it will depend sort of on the skill of the tech that's doing the leather apolstery but, even in the best outcome, does it look like it was factory or does it look like they are just covered over with an aftermarket solution?

I kind of want leather but I'd hate to destroy my brand new car within the first week.

i did the bonnie seats in my 96 and when they order the leather most of it comes already put together so you might be lucky getting the leather from the factory just flip it insode out and slap it on should look alright depending on wear in the foam sometimes you have to build thatup

I called the company that the dealer recommended and they said that they have a company (I think they called it Katzkin) that makes the seat covers. They said they come all together. Has anyone ever heard of Katzkin seatcovers? Do they look decent?

Actually I just went to the Katzkin website. I think the seats are going to actually look better than they would have if I would have just bought the car with leather. I can customize them exactly how I want them to. And I can add heated seats to my car now too for an extra $300.
