squealing type noise coming from front wheel

I noticed yesterday that my front wheel on my 2001 has started making a squealing type noise(think mouse on a wheel that needs to be oiled) when driving.

Could it be the wheel bearings? It didn't start until I took it through an automatic carwash. Please help

Could be the front disk brakes?

Hmmm there's an idea. I do know that I need new brakes. This happens when I am just driving down the road not just when breaking. It is constant and seems more noticible when going at slower speeds. And it does seem to be getting worse

anyone else have any ideas to add?

Had a similar noise in my 2000 and it turned out to be a tie rod end failing. had them replaced and the noise went away

similiar problem, with 2000 wagon, the wheel ball bearings on left wheel was bad....

I have the same noise coming from the driver side front wheel on my 98. The rotors and pads are new. If I spray brake cleaner on the rotor the noise is gone for first 5-10miles then it's back again.

The van only has 51,000km it can't be the wheel bearing this soon??

Well it turned out to just be the brakes after all. Had everything checked out all was fine but the bad brake pads.
