Smoking??

I just got a 1998 Saturn & it smokes when I start it & first start going. I've been told it's either the PCV valve or valve seals. Is there anything else it could be? I wasn't told the car did this & didn't notice it until the day after I bought it...thanks!

piston rings are also possible, there is also a very small chance its some random off-brand oil additive, if so it should stop at the next oil change.(i only know that from experience)
