I lose my right side speakers when the right power door closes. While driving they come on now again. Anyone know where to start looking for the loose connection?

U have 4 metal contact on your sliding door clean them with an pincil eraser or electrical contact cleaner I bet it will work because I just checked for u . turned on my stereo open slide door that speaker went out closed it it came back on. Not unless one of your contacts are bad.
Hope this helps.Gary

so I asume the power sliding door is wired different, than the non power door types. do you still have 4 metal contacts on the door frame. If you do i would still try to clean them. I would also check the connects to the speaker it self. May not be so easy to get to though.

Actually I think there are 8 contacts. I did clean them with an eraser and some scotch brite, also put some dielectric grease on all metal contact surfaces.
I also think it has to do with the speaker hook up or the audio unit itself. Getting that frickin radio out is next to impossible for me. :(

Not sure what year you have but the stereo units are actually pretty easy to remove. (at least on my year) There is a tool available but I ground the corners of some wire coat hangers and used them. You ned to release the clips by pushing the tool into the 4 holes on the sides of the stereo and the unit slides out.

Its a 2002 model. I did buy the tools, but still the stupid thing will not release.

I thought I would never be able to remove my radio ... even with the proper tools. I was pushing the tools in much too deeply.
Once able to look at the latch on the removed radio, I now know how little to press the tool inward.
