3.8 96 windstar many codes

I have codes p0500,p1537,p1538,p0305,p1758. the van is starting to stall when idling and rpms fluxuate alot from 600-1200 rpms. I looked at my cam shaft sensor and the thing is totaly distroyed inside. I read that that alone will not cause driveability problems is this correct? I also replaced the speed sensor..... help
