Wrong Oil

I accidentally used 10-30W rather than 5-20W in my 2003 Windstar (which has 65K miles on it). Is this going to be a problem and should I change it out for 5-20w? I'm in AZ, so the winter temps are very mild if that helps any.

I agree.. Just a note though I am running mboil one synthetic 5w30 and I am happy with the switch if they had 5w 20 in that brand i would run it but they dont. or its just hard to fine.. Just keep in mind the motorcraft 5w20 is a synthetic blend and running that low weight I would run only synthetic or a blend. Just my opinion.

According the UOA's over at bobistheoilguy.com message board the Motorcraft 5w/20 is a great oil. IIRC, all 5w/20 oils are full or semi synthetic. I've been using Mobil 1 5w/30 in my '01 Sport and '99 Taurus and changing it out every 6 months. I may go to one year intervals after the next oil analysis results come in.

I do agree Motorcraft 5w20 is a great oil. Its a synthetic blend.
But I hope any other 5w 20 oil on the market is a synthetic or blend. But mobol was a pref call.
