strange clicking noise

Out of nowhere my 01 impala started making a clinking noise like I had a directional on. When I turn off the car my dash lights and parking lights flash as well. The noise is coming from under the steering column. The fuses all look good and the car runs and operates fine except for the clicking, however now my battery is dead from the lights staying on all night. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

check your bcm, this dang things have caused alot of problems for alot of IMPALA owners. When you here the noise look for a little black box. They say that it is under the dash. When my car was going crazy I could here this clicking sound from under the dash but didn't know what to look for. If it is, the dealership will want about $300 to change it out and reprogram it. I was told on another post that a guy replaced his for around $100 or so but needed the BCM to be reprogramed. The dealership were I am from will do it for $49 dollars.
