Could someone tell me if itis difficult to replace the front wiper motor in a 03 windstar, the dealer wants way to much $$.

It should be pretty easy. First remove wiper arms...15 mm wrench, I believe. Then start removing the plastic cowling...2 piece construction.... about a dozen little screws, and a few body clips along the lower windschield. The wiper motor is attached to the lower cowl piece.
I have removed the cowling several times on my '99.

We are still within warranty, however the dealer is saying it might not be covered under warranty because they say the motor was overloaded because of excessive snow load.

That's a bunch of you know what :disappoin . Any chance at trying another ford dealer? any of them have to take care of factory warranty issues. How would they know this was due to snow anyway? Dealership service can be a regular joy :banghead: .

We went back to the dealer and discussed it further and they phoned me and told me they will take care of it under warranty. Thanks all for your input
