Brake Fluid

Stupid Question: How do you add brake fluid to a 1996 Windstar without taking the cowl cover off??? I was thinking of running a small piece of tubing to the reservoir and doing it that way, any other ideas???

I use a turkey baster with a large bulb. Be sure to rinse it thoroughly afterwards.

Not a stupid question at all....but an easy solution.....

1st...remove the cap from the bottle and remove the foil seal.
Put the cap back onto the bottle....
Then.
Leave the cap on the bottle.....until....
Place bottle to the passenger side of the master cylinder fill cap....you will have clearance there to manuver the bottle to the pour position.
With the bottle upright.....

REMOVE the cap and pour.

Put cap back onto the bottle....and work your way back out past the trottle cables...and other such obstructions.....

Make sure to use new fluid from a sealed bottle. Once the bottle is opened....the fluid will start to absorb moisture....which is a bad thing.
My point being.... don't use fluid from a bottle that was opened a few years ago....and has been sitting around the garage since then.

Thanks for the suggestions. I just used a short piece of tubing to act as a funnel which worked well.
