meaning of symbols/gages on dash

Hello, Im new here and at the risk of sounding dumb I need to ask this question. I have a 1999 ford windstar van and I have no manual for it.I just had the trans rebuilt today and when I picked it up and was driving home a light was on the dash that is orange and kind of oblong with like a cap on the top of it. It was not on when I took it in for the trans to be rebuilt. This symbol is just above where it says temp c/h on the right hand side. Can someone tell me if this is the check engine light symbol or what it might be as I do not have a manual to look it up.Just seems weird that it goes on after I have the trans fixed and before that I was tiold the enginewas in good shape.
