Is there a way to retrieve pcm error codes from a 2000 Honda civic DX without speding a lot of money? Can these codes be flashed on the dash, like the old days, or will I have to go like to a Autozone store and ask them to retrieve the code.

I don't think you can pull the codes yourself on a OBDII car. Just take it to autozone they should do it for free.

yup, just take off the passenger kick panel and stick a paperclip in the little green(2 wire) connector. turn on the car and the cel will flash to show you the code

I thought you couldn't jump the OBDII ecu's. Well, I have a complete list of the codes, so just report back and we'll figure out what your problem is.
