Ok i got a 92 SL with about 95k on the obo.The clutch i have in it now is maybe 4mths old,the problem is when i put it into gear it goes into all of them but when i go to apply gas it goes no where. It makes no noise at all when puting into gears. Now i had someone tell me the Shift cables might be loose.I need to know if this is true and if anyone knows where their located.

it may be the cables, they connect the shifter to the tranmission, look under the brake master cylinder, hard to see, but the are there, they are held down by retaining clips, that on the s-seires are known to wear or become loose our time. if you can't see them from the top, you may have better luck going thru the driver side wheel well. in this picture the cables aren't shown, but the lever they connect to is there, its black. also, the calbes are held in place by the eyelets to the right of the shift lever.

i fear the problem may lie in the clutch itself or the hydraulic, who replaced the clutch? leaking oil? flywheel also serviced?

i think i may have your answer. saturn makes a piece of junk rubber bushing holding the shift lever to the torque rod and shift lever under your center console. this breaks frequently enought that i couldn't find a single junker that still had one on it and saturn dealer only sells with the whole cable assembly ~190 bucks. if this is your problem, a 14 guage wire around the stickshift bulb then threaded loosely through the torque rod(or shift rod got no idea which one is which) then back around works nicely in place of the bushing.
If you pull up the leather around the stick shift and feel down there and find it's loose, you can pm me for more details on the patch if you like...
if you already checked there too... just ignore me and check for a break in the oil seal like mentioned above.
