ok this is my problem first I will start with the codes
P0172 system to lean bank 1
P0174 system to lean bank 2
P0301 cylinder 1 misfire
P0402 Egr excessive flow
Now prior to this I only had code P0301 & P0172 after cleaning the Egr ports replacing the DPFE sensor all the gaskets on the plenium along with all the isolator bolts,PCV valve, new air cleaner, plugs and wires and cleaning the IAC, I now have all these codes. I did a manual test on the EGR and it tested ok, I could feel and hear it open and close, all the vacuum hoses are clear, but tonite I checked the IMRC actuators. The back one tested fine, it opens with suction and holds, but the front (near the alternator) is a different story I can open it with suction, but if I blow air into it from a small hose I can hear it leaking air I did the same with the rear and it does not leak air. My question is would that faulty actuator be giving me all the codes. Because when I start the van Both IMRC will shut and at about 3000rpm they will open up but is the lose of vacuum in the bad actuator robbing the engine of air. I need this fixed because I am moving to texas from Iowa in about a week. Just need her to make it that far. Oh yea its 1996 gl 3.8l.
Thank for any reply mike

I only had the one code when my IRMC went bad on my 96.
Since more codes showed up after the repair, maybe somehow
a new leak was introduced to make the lean codes. I have no idea on the EGR, sounds like you did all the right things
