Rear Power Windows

I left the rear windows of my 2001 Ford Windstar open all night and it rained lightly. In the morning, the power window button would not close them, assuming the rain damaged it, what should be the first thing I attempt to repair this problem. They're the rear windows of a minivan, so they are the kind that only open a few inches.
