2000 Montero Sport Radio Code

Hi,
Could some one please help me with the radio code for My 2000 Montero sport? I did not even know I needed one until the body shop disconnected my battery. I bought the truck used and just found out that I do not have the cards with the code on it.

you have to remove the radio and get the serial numbers off the back of the radio and then i can get you the audio code, but thats the only way

I had the same problem. I took it to the dealer, they pulled the radio out and got some numbers off the back and called Mitsubishi to get the code. I don't remember what it cost but it was less than a new generic radio. $40 or $50 I think. What happened is I bought the car used from Budget and they don't tell you this stuff. Next time I'll read the manual after the test drive so I can educate my self.

Hey Lafftaff..My Volkwagen Eurovan audio in locked too and I cant find the Radio card.
Worst is I cant find any reliable dealer anywhere in my country (NIGERIA) Can U help me too if I remove the radio and get the serial numbers off the back of the radio?. I cant wait to listen to my favourite coutry music again.
