I have a 1993 Saturn SL2 with 150K. It starts up fine, but once in a while it's hard to start it. In addtion when I'm driving and come up to a light thats red and press on the brake the rmp's go way down below the one. It feels like it's going to die. I've changed the o2 sensor and the PCV. Any suggestions? Thanks

Could be a couple things:

1. Sticking IAC motor

2. TCC

3. Leaking brake booster

i'll go with the IAC, try cleaning the throttle body with carb and choke cleaner.

sierrap615 knows what hes talking about.

First thing I would do is clean your throttle body out real well,
problems idling any other time?
Seems like its not the braking causing it but rather that is when your car has warmed up and RPMs drop because you've stopped.

there is another thread about low rpms or stalling while braking that is posted in this forum there are several suggestions there

Hope it all works out for ya!
