I have a 94 SL2 that I can barely get to start. I have changed the coolant temp sensor, O2 sensor, fuel filter, and spark plugs. Where do I go now?

define "barely get to start" its a hard start? starter turning slowly? does everly thing work fine when the car runs? how old is the battery? 550 CCA?

I changed the other coolant sensor right above the ECT and the car seems fine. last night aftera a fourteen hour shift at work I had a service engine soon light and used a wire to get the code. same as before--code 15 coolant sensor--I need to try to clear the code. the problem is I forgot to pull the wire back out and my wife drove the car in the morning. the book says not to turn over the engine with the pcm in diagnostic mode. It does not say what will happen. do you know what effects I might expect?

i do know the SES light would be blinking its head off. if the car is put in diagnostic mode with the engine on, the SES light blinks in accordance with the fuel injectior pluse width(or atleast my 94 does). i don't know if the engine is placed in any sort of limp mode while driving in diagnostic mode, or the effects of starting while in diag mode. if it was just the one time, then cross your fingers, i doubt any major damage was done, it just be a precation.(like turning off your computer by pressing shutdown, not by unpluging the power cord).

the one wire sender above the two-wire ECT only controls the temp gauge, the PCM doesn't even knows its there. replacing the two-wire ECT sensor and checking the connectior for gunk build-up should clear the SES light.
