won't start after changing gears

have replaced battery, alternator and has a new starter. Battery light comes on intermittently. After jumping w/battery cables, will start, but car dies when changing into drive or reverse. Any suggestions as to problem?

something might be loose

year/model/engine? what began this? any SES light? do you have a multimeter? start by checking all cables and the termial tightness. see if the car still stalls with the jumper cables connected. any other info would help.
