I nkow its just four nuts that hold it on. but there is also like a gasket or tacky substance between the spolier and the trunk and it has a nice hold on it. has anyone taken off there spolier before. I just dont want to find out that I cant remove the goo that is forming the seal off the trunk then when I put my spolier back on that it leaks.

well what i did was i took the screw out of the spoiler from the trunk took some dental floss and split the goo in half with the floss.(It really hurts if u pull to hard with the floss feels like its gonna cut ur finger off) Now that the spoiler is off take something like a soft piece of plastic(i used a plastid card like a credit card or something) this will remove the majority of the goo. I bought this stuff at pep boys from turtle wax, it was bug and tar remover. Take an old sock or a rag and put about a decent amount on it and rub real hard, try to create some heat and a good amount of friction, watch yourself though the screw holes on the outside of the trunk may still be sharp. Excuse the way i wrote this im rushing out the door gl hope it helps, ask me if somethin didn't make sense lol.

actually I never would have thought of the floss idea. thats one hell of a good idea. thank you very much. actually one more question. since you say that you also took all that crap sticking on to it off as well, did you in turn just remove you spolier for good, or did you ust take all that crap off cuz you felt like it. im just wondering since I want to take it off and not put it back on but I dont want to spend the money to get the holes filled and resurfaced by a body shop. I was trying to think a a few things that I could put in the bolt holes to close them up so that they dont leak, you wouldnt happen to have any ideas on that, I have a few but you seem to have some great ideas I would never think of.

Well i took mine off for good, its down in my basement now. I copped mine out so i went to Pep boys and bought 2 non functional motorola antennas and put em in 2 holes closest to the rear window. The other two holes or covered on the underside with some duck tape, havent had any water leak in yet. u can buy some putty at pep boys or one of those stares fill it in and use some paint to cover it up.
These two pics are all i got u cant really make the antennas out but u can see the edge of the trunk and u cant tell there was a spoiler there.
