it's Halloween in canada too, but no firecrackers, just fireworks up here and all but 3 of the lower-mainland cities around vancouver have banned them :(

i'm pretty sure that they're only illegal to use, but not to sell, distribute, or possess. it's kinda stupid. at least in alberta anyway. the reason is, they're considered a low explosive incendiary device.

No, but I rode in one once.
I also grabbed the rear toe link off of one in a junk yard in order to make an adjustable rear panhard bar for my CRX (bought an adjustable RPHB instead).
Did you get a new car?

yeah, my new wheels for a while till i get the wagon running. the prelude was getting too unsafe to run (brakes, bearings, suspension. it was a neardeath experience to drive everyday) got the mazda for $200, no rust, clean interior and the 2L. motor has plenty of pep. 5 speed too.

Seems that when I drive my project cars other road users drive at me,pull out in front, park too close etc. yet when I drive my "sales" cars where an insurance claim would usually be welcome I get ignored. So unfair...

yep company drivers are the worst, tend to use their vehicle as a weapon.A couple of years ago a naughty man pulled out of the cash and carry in front of me totalling my 1990 Corrolla GTI i had owned for a couple of days. Was going to be a project,I think it was an omen so got another civic instead..

well i didn't move onto another civic, i thought about it but decided to get something domestic instead, ended up buying an 82 firebird trans am. eventually i will have the old wagon running as well.

i'm fine, i hit him at around 30-40mph and had a bit of a stiff neck the next couple days. there is no giant firebird on the hood, in 82 the bird was an option, mine is all black with gold at the rocker.

they won't let you just Open the valve??? oh well, if you do have to take it off, it will need to be re-sealed when it's put back on to prevent leaks.

liquid teflon or something similar should work. as for getting sick, think about it this way, it's what dentists use to knock you out when working on you. it's a dangerous gas that will overtake the oxygen making you sufficate... so do it outside and try to stay a good distance away.

Things that have health warnings are often fun, abuse the remainder of your gas carefully!:smokin: That stuff at the dentist is nice...

Sometimes I accidentally click on the "Holden" link when trying to get into the "Honda" section of the AF. This is promptly followed by a few seconds of bewilderment.
What is a Holden anyway?

Australian branch of GM. The new GTO here is the Holden Monaro from Australia.
Holden is also used in code as in:
"Is Holden Coffield at the party?"
"Have you seen my friend, Holden?"
"Was Holden here today?"
Other popular uses include prank calls:
"I'm looking for Mr. Magroin... Mr Holden Magroin"

yep it's been quiet in here.I've been on holiday and fallen behind at work so the Si has taken a back seat and just been smoked around. No interior at the moment after welding,I'm waiting till I get a bit of time to fit the roll cage before I fit the carpets and rear seats.
Painting the headling was the last job I did.Mission but came out really well. Also put a new front end on my silver Si which I smashed up earlier in the year.Protected inner wings while I was there.

well i tried. i was in need of a cheap winter vehicle/ something good on gas because i am back in school (read "not trans am @ 16 cents per km.") so i scowered the papers for an old civic or accord but everything was either too expensive (under $500 or so), sold or just too decrepit for me to bother with it. as i said, i tried to buy a honda but ended up coming across a 1982 Datsun pickup, 5 speed, 4x4 for $375. so ya, that's my new wheels for the next while.

I have a CRX shell I'm selling (or giving away) if your'e interested.
I picked up a new toy, a 1991 Toyota MR2 turbo. The CRX just doesn't compare to the MR2 so it's gotta go, one way or another.
