New Alternator, but....

99 SC1: I recently posted about a light flickering problem in my car possibly being related to my automatic transmission problem (weird shifting). Well, I replaced my alternator (battery is a couple of months old) and the transmission seems to have improved. However, the light problem I was having has not improved. Hold the brakes, the lights briefly flicker and the dash lights/radio dim. It is not the battery. I do not have any accessories. Any guesses? Would replacing the negative battery cable help anything? The ground wire looks a little old.

if you have a multimeter/voltmeter, check the voltage drop of the cable, anything over about 0.5 volt replace. also check all brake lights, anything abnormal replace, be sure the battery is rated at minimum 550 CCA, and make sure all cable connections at tight.

Brake lights are on and working. However, I think I am going to check their grounds. I am running out of options.
