First time I have had to add coolant. Do I use the regular green stuff or the Dex-Cool? Do not have an owner's manual. Right now, it looks like the coolant in it is green. If this is not the right coolant, will it hurt to add the Dex Cool?

dex cool will work in both vehicles BUT the green stuff wont work in dex vehicles... the color you put in should be the color of the dot on the cap

also dont forget to keep the 50 water 50 coolant ratio

I don't have a dot on my coolant cap. I guess I should add the green stuff, if that is what is in there all ready. It has been cooling the car, so I guess it is working. Thanks for your help!

Anything that is safe for aluminum should work. I believe if it has sulfites it will make some parts rust.

yeah. double check that anyway. it will definitely say in your owners manual. but if its green go green... mine turned brown... yuck

91-mid 96 = green
mid 96 - up = Dexcool
do not mix them, if you do the life of the coolent is shot. i beleave one part of the coolent system is different for green vs. dexcool, but i'm not sure. if your coolent is the wrong type, flush it with pure water, then flush it with the corrent coolent
