I am getting Code 4 (4 flashes) Crank angle sensor. Is it possible to replace this without replacing the distributor? And if so, where can I get one? What does it do anyway? Thanks.

Nope. You must replace the distributor. The CAS is a "part" of the distributor and there is no other way around it.
Sorry

he means the actual sensor in the distributor, and NO it cannot be replaced!

i just recently dealt with this. the screw flew off the rotor and damaged the sensor somehow while i was driving to work one day. it was an easy fix... i just had to get a whole new distributor. after the engine warmed up, even with the screw back in the rotor properly, the engine light would come on, the rpms would slow, and when you tried to drive anywhere, the car would jerk-jerk-jERK like crazy and die a lot. i was only trying to get to the other side of my driveway, heh.

Well the wierd thing is, it runs fine. Except it overheats everytime i drive it because of the warped head. Has plenty of power just the water is going into the 2-3 cylinders. I can't get one plug out because of the sever warpage has one of the plugs stuck. I was just curious what the code was, thanks.
