ive been looking around for an intake system and I love k and n, but if its not k and n I guess it doesnt bother me. but ive been looking around on ebay and there are a number of different ones out there. has anyone ever bought one from ebay, or anywhere I guess and did you like it and come with all nessesary holes for the sensors. I found systems of ebay for like $16 to like $70 but I dont nkow if those have holes to hold the sensor, yet ive found a k and n full system for like $285 from a real online store. but thats quite a bit of a price jump. so have anyone put on a ram air, cold air, cone filter system on there car.

I guess u have an 00' to present impala. the ones on ebay are cheap but they don't come with a pcm cover which you will need. you'll have to fabricate one if the intake does'nt come with pcm cover. also one's on ebay don't come with necessary hardware to keep intake in place (the filter will rub on pcm wires). you definately get what you pay for. I would go with thrasher or slp. but honestly its not worth the money. in the long run you'll end up with check engine lights or wires to mass air flow sensor getting loose. work on making your car look nice like rims or something. these little v-6's can't handle after market mods

Do you own a thrasher cold air intake? And do you think they aren't worth the money? I was looking at a Wizaird, it looks realy nice. Can't afford it. I myself just replaced my old paper air filter with a K & N Aircharger in my 3.8 LS. I like the boost in the pedal.

well i had a thrasher. it worked well. I ended up selling it on ebay. I think thrasher is the best, but i'm not familiar with wizzard. all in all the amount of money compared to the amount of performance wasn't good. my friends monte started throwing check engine lights with the slp and mine stopped working completely. mechanic said loose maf sensor wire. I would rather spend my money on a us savings bond. oh p.s. don't get the jet performance module (no good also). it just tells your computer to run at full throttle and send the gas and advances the timing.

Don't worry. I am not going for a suped up car, just a well efficient running one. I am looking to upgrade my stock cd player with a stock cd/cass combo, rear speakers with three way 6x9's and 20" rims. In that order. I am trying to keep it stock. I appreciate your experience and knowlegde.
