Impala Body Damage?

When I was coming home from work a few nights ago I lost control and ended up sliding into a foot high rock in someone’s yard. I would say I was doing about 30km/h when I hit... Anyways, it’s my parent’s car and I'm going to be responsible for getting the damage fixed out of it. Its new years day and I doubt very many auto body shops will be open today so I won't be able to get an estimate today. Anyone have an estimate of their own that they would be willing to donate?
Thanks, Matt

insureance, trust me. your deductible will be far far less than what it would be to pay for it yourself. but if you do want a non professional opinion but I have had a number of different estimates for body damage. with new parts, painting them, and labor costs....rough estimate .....$1800 is a low ball.

I take it thats 1800 USD? What about insurance rates would they not skyrocket because of this?

Maybe, depends on your record. This will not be cheap. Good Luck.

yes that is usd and they might not nessesaryily "skyrocket" but I guess the only way I can put it is. I have a pretty bad record, enought tickets to have gotten my license taken away for 6 months. and I got it back and bought my new car and had to get full coverage on it now and my insureance only had found out about some of my tickets and they quoted me like 1700 for 6 months and then they looked at my record and a ticket I had just got they didnt know about, then my premium was 1900. it went up like 25 bucks a month or something. but thats a ticket, and thats my company. but I would still take it somewhere to get an estimate when you can, but if your deductible is only like 250 or 500 id say go with insureance.

1800 is too low. I guessing closer to $3000 USD
I just had an accident that I had to pay outta pocket for. it was 1600 for minor damage repairable by bolt on parts and paint. This one has structure damage.

Found a place that said they could bend and metal work everything back without replacing anything but the rocker molding.
14 hours of body labour @$50/hour
11 hours of paint labour @$70/hour
and the molding is $241 from the don folk
770.00
+700.00
+241.00
+229.54(tax)
_________
$1950.54
Best estimate I could find... Going to take it in sometime this week.

Maybe it isn't as bad as it looks in the pics, but I doubt it. I don't think that place knows what they're getting into it's gonna be a real pain in the ass to try to get all the curves and bends back in it and have it look descent.
