Just hit 174,000 on my 91. Hopefully, years down the road, I can say "just hit 274,000 on my 91" :grinyes:

:dunno: How is yours holding up? By any chance, did you replace your springs or struts yet? I think mine is due for all 4 springs & struts.

 I have a 90 Accord LX with 304,000. Everything works but the driver’s side shoulder belt. Still blows cold air with the R-12 system that was recharged 5 years ago. The rear fenders had some rust, (Kansas salt) and I repaired one last weekend and am doing the other side now. ALLWAYS had regular scheduled maintenance, timing belt, oil change, etc. Just did a tune up and adjusted valves, runs great and still has plenty of power, just need to do the 3rd timing belt for the 300,000. Factory paint numbers still matched pretty well on rust repair, to bad It was totaled 6 years ago for hail damage. I have had such good luck with this car I am experimenting with some paint less dent removal and may re-paint this summer.

the odometer says 207,000 but the speedometer went on the fritz at 190000 so im thinking about 215-220, noone will ever know...

the miles appears on the speedometer, i assumed that it is showing you your recently traveled milage, but the total miles should be under the odometer, okay, let me put it in a simplier way.

the meter that has the white number, that's for your traveling milage, but the total milage for the car, I think you could figure it out.

I got something like 270k on my 91 accord. Havent had to change the oil, or put in any gas since the day I bought it. Actually not really but it pisses my father off to no extent that his brand new 2004 Ford Expidition costs 60$ a week to fill, while my accord costs $20 every other week.

130,000 and runnin strong on my '94

Some technicians I kno at the dealership say they've seen an accord with over 500,000, really rare though. They said that the one they see is completely stock, just normal maintenance and a couple clutches...

2000 Honda Accord - 85,000 kms, and still runs like new.

I created a new thread, but I thought maybe someone here could help me with my milage question, so I have included my original post.

__________________________________________________ ____________________

My 2000 Honda Accord was stolen 2 days ago and it was recovered (this morning). The trouble - The gauge cluster was smashed and I have no insurance to cover the damage to the steering column and cluster.

Fortunately, there is no other damage.

My question:

Can I get another gauge cluster from the automobile recylcler and have it show the same mileage that should be on my car, or do I have to get one and get it reprogrammed? Any advice here would be great. I have found a guy to do the work on the column, so all that I have to worry about is the cluster.

Thanks.

Faz

It hit 142K yesterday.
And I am hoping it goes a lot more. Does need a little work, which I hope I can do myself.

I would think that you could take the cluster to a honda dealership and have them reprogram it for you. Or atleast you could always call and ask.

Well... the '93 was bought at auction as "abandoned" 189k on it - 5speed drives like a dream and made it accross country this december - so the OD reads 194 now...

the 98 V6 Vtec has 107k and counting... ..we're babying this one right now

:iceslolan [SIZE=6]YES [SIZE=1]A friend of mine back home had one, I forget the year - but it was at some 750k ridiculous mileage - he was going for a million... but OH so sadly - was in an accident and totaled the car :uhoh:

but seriously -- 100k... even 200 -- these cars are just getting broken in

lol yeah hondas run a long time but its not that much more than other cars. ive heard of a 4.3 liter v6 in a chevy astro van going 600k miles and the only major work done was replacing the valve seals one time. my dads old 1990 chevy silverado 350 v8 had 180000 miles on the original engine and tranny and it was still idlin better than many newer cars do and the tranny never clunked. we have a honda accord that is still a baby with 80,000 miles, its an 87 with a carb and it gets almost 35 mpg in the city or more. sadly the tranny is going out tho

I've got a '91 Accord with 222K on it. I'd say I've done very little work on this car since I bought it used in 1997; timing belt and water pump, fuel igniter, valve adjustment, one CV joint, wheel alignment (1 time). Those are the things that come to mind; of course, there's some other routine stuff such as brakes and exhaust. It runs good; very little oil consumption. May have to replace the clutch, but still having the original at 222K is great.

My experience with Hondas has been terrific. The first Honda in the family was an 84 CRX that my son drove. Had about 120K on it when we bought it and had about 218K on it when we got rid of it. We got good service from that car.

My son later bought a 90 Civic that had 135K on it when he bought it, and about 216K on it when he got rid of it. I recall driving from Columbus, OH to Dallas, TX in that car with my son. When we left Ohio, it had about 184K miles on it. I checked the oil before we left. On the first morning after we arrived in Dallas, I checked the oil again. I couldn't see any difference. The distance from OH to TX was about 1050 miles, as I recall. Amazing!

I've had a 90 accord, EX, 5 spd for 3 yrs now. I learned how to drive stick with this car and imagine what a 16 yr old could do to a car. This thing took all kinda abuse and still running amazingly strong at about 350 km! what an awesome car! Only If it wasn't for the RUST that is just unfixable.... I just bought an MKIII golf and am planing to keep the accord as my winter car.

I have a '87 Accord LX-I 2dr HalfHatch, 5spd with 226,634 miles on it. At the moment, it litle more than moves. Overheats, Wobbling during braking at 55+, no power steering, lots-o-rust, Slight coolant leak.

Was previously owned by a pizza delivery driver, so that explains some of the crap, like rust :) and all the miles.
