Nope, not BS. At least not outright BS. I know at least one example of a person with a cadillac with something like 2,000,000 miles on the original drivetrain. They were featured on good morning america. I also know of a honda prelude that was driven by the original owner for more than 500,000 miles and when honda got wind of it, they gave him a brand new prelude for free :bigthumb:

him "20,000"
at this point I started yelling at him for not knowing what he was talking about :lol2:
You're not alone dude. I know so many people like that. It's pathetic! Some of the wealthier people can get so vain. An example I remember was my mom was talking to my sister's friend's mom, and my sister's friend's mom is only in her mid 30s, and she is beautiful (no that I'm thinking anything ok? lol, no MILF), and her skin is perfect, and i heard her claim that she's getting old and she needs a facelift! :eek7: I mean c'mon! and my mom was like :screwy: riiiight. It just never ceases to amaze me.
I was talking to him about cars once and he was like "my engine's got too many miles on it, so we'll have to get rid of it soon..."
me "how many?"
him "20,000"

I call BS on this one! :bs:
My uncle has a semi company and semi motors are the longest lasting engine before rebuild. An average semi motor lasts 1-1.5 million miles. Now I can gaurantee a volvo engine didnt last 2.5 million miles what so ever!

ha, the other day I hopped into the back of my friend's mom's LX470 and made a comment that the leather was more worn and dirty than my own lexus which just happened to be 12 years older than theirs. She said (only half jokingly) "I know, my strategy is that if I let it get bad enough I'll get a new car!" me: "or you could just get it reupholstered... or actually take care of it..." her: "oh of course not! new car!"

Hey cool, that dude is from Patchogue. I lived a couple of towns away from him. I bet I've seen that Volvo a hundred times.

Got a Delphi MyFi portable XM radio, which is cool as shit. Hook it up in the car, then you just grab it and go. Also got a Craftsman laser etched tool set, and personalized golf balls. Pretty good christmas for me :sunglasse

There's the link to the world book of records about the volvo. I was a little off on the mileage, it's only 2.25 million, but since then I'm sure he put more on the car.

let me know how that new PS2 turns out
It's awesome. It's much quicker than the older ones and it seems like the graphics engine performs much much better.

I read there was also a 75% internal volume reduction, because of newer and smaller coolant fans? Is it like maad quiet now?

The car is a 1969 (I think) Volvo P1800S, you'd be able to find the guy in the guiness book of records and it's all been done on the original driveline too!
