Please help as this is my last resort with this car!!
I have a 1995 SW2 with 145,000 miles that has been well taken care of. No major problems until the past 4-5 months. I'll be driving along, and when I slow down to stop at a light, it'll stall for no reason (it's an automatic). It usually starts right back up, but not every time. No engine lights come on. I know it's not the battery, as it always starts up fine in the morning (and I just got a new one in Nov. 2003) , it's about when I almost get to work that it will cut off. There is no rhyme or reason as to when it does it, either. It's been to the shop about 3 times, they cannot find any problems. Fuel injection, spark plugs have all been checked, no problems. Meanwhile it continues to do this, maybe around 4-5 times per week. I don't even drive it that often. I've been told that in order to get it fixed, it would have to stall while its in the shop. Well, I never know when it is going to happen so obviously that's not an option. I don't know what else to do but I cannot continue to drive this car. ANY suggestions are more than welcome!
THANKS!
**Edited to add: It is a lowrider - the previous owner bought a lowrider kit & lowered it...*

i doubt the lowering kit is affecting this.

if you have never replace the ECT, you may want to look into it, you can search this forum for countless drivibly problems it has caused in the past. replace only with the new brass tipped design from a saturn dealership.

also the IAC may be binding, which can be caused by internal binding where it would need replaced or external binding which just cleaning it may work(more common). remove the intake tube to the throttle body, check for carbon build-up, the IAC is inside the hole beneth the throttle plate. try cleaning it with carb and choke cleaner.

Thanks!! I didn't think the lowering had much to do with it, but wanted to add that just in case.
What is the ECT & IAC? Sorry, I don't know much about cars....:(

Thank you! I will take it to the dealership to get those checked. Today it ran fine but of course I never know when it's going to start up again.
Thanks so much for all of your help!
