up/down engine idle, Battery light on/off

Hi,

I have a problem with my Windstar. Not too long ago, I have my Fuel pump/filter replaced and my alternator brand new. Everything was fine. about a month ago, my battery warning light was coming on when I push the gaz pedal and when it idles down, it goes away. It also seem that my engine is slightly reving up/down when idleing. No so evident when driving the car around. I have clean my battery connection with a metal brush because it was very corroded. Any idea of what could be the problem?

Wow, this is an interesting problem... usually the light goes away <i>when</i> you rev 'er up.

This sounds like something is draining too much power when you rev the engine... the only things I can think of at the moment is the ignition system or the fuel pump (because it's working harder to maintain pressure at higher speeds, maybe).

If it's an ignition system problem, then that would likely be the PCM...not a cheap part.
