T-TRot858, if you want scissor doors (lambo), I'd save up and get one from a well-know national brand name company that makes the conversions. If you were to copy the bolt-on design of decah, et. al., you'll need a machine shop to machine the piece properly. Then you'll need to find good strong shocks. Custom conversion were done before the bolt on craze, but a good custom conversion is hard and requires manching, test fitting, etc. I will say a lot of people feel they are getting played out, and unless you really show your car and hit the circuit a bunch, I would think twice about them. It gets annoying in everyday life having, to the point you don't pop them, you just squeeze out with them down. IMO, they are a mod for someone on the show circuit with a show car. They are becoming more and more common on the circuit too, so if you want a DIY classic suicide doors will look good and be less common. Thats my 2 cents. If you have your heart set on them though, get one from a reputable brand. The cheap knock off brands lack quality, and the shocks of the cheap brands are known to fail.

lambo doors do seem like they'd get annoying after awhile. once you get in you have to reach all the way up to slam em, then when you get out you can't just slam your door by pushing it but rather hold the latch and pull it down

I does get very annoying. One of the most annoying parts in not being able to just open the door and slam it shut. You never understand the joy of being able to slam the door until it's not possible. It does get annoying having to lift them up and then lower them all the time. This is why I said above I would tend to recommend them only if you hit the show circut hard, enough to warrent such a mod.
