2000 Impala Keyless entry

I want to get another keyless entry for my wife. I fold the correct one on a website, but it states I have to go to the dealer to program it. I checked my owners manual and it appears I can program it myself. Is this correct or do I have to have a dealer do it?

should be able to program it through the radio
