crx vs alero

hi i have a 1988 crx dx 5 speed with intake,exhaust, and my friend has a 99 alero stock and we race all the time and were always dead even. I though he would blow my doors off??? when we race from a roll @ 60 on up i take him by hafe a car leangh. He also has a 98 civic with a gs-r swap and type-r tranny,exhaust,intake,6 puck cluch,light weaght flywheel. and when we race he beats my by 4 cars throw 1/4---- so my Q is how fast is a 88 crx with those little mods thanks

is the alero v6?

those mods do little to improve performance, I would think maybe 3-6 HP max, so you are probably about as fast as a stock DX, so I guess in the 1/4 mile you would run around 17??.......

aleros aren't that fast - i'm glad they dont make oldsmobiles anymore cuz, well...they're old

If he has a B18C1 and only is 4 cars ahead of you he doesn't know how to race.

We have a 2003 Alero V6, my D15B can keep up with it. It's got a half decent motor (3400), but weighs to damn much.

A guy down the street has a 'Olds 440 if anyone says there slow... I'm sure he would race you, wouldnt bother unless your running low 11's though.

for sure.......those were sick cars, since the begeinning of the 90s they sucked however......
