1964 impala question

Im about to buy a 1964 impala and need to know how to check at a glance if the car is a true super sport or not.
People rebadge their standard impala as an SS and I dont know the difference.
Any information would be much appreciated.

You will need to run the VIN. People "build" SS models all the time and some of them are very hard to detect. Good Luck, this is a great car. I do remember the 409 dual quad being hard to start when cold. The carbs were just hard to keep in sync for some reason.
