My girlfriend has a 95 SC1 w/an automatic tranny.
A few weeks ago, the shift lock solenoid went out...she had to take the handle off and put a screwdriver in the hole to get it to shift until I figured out what the problem was.
Yesderday, she gets off work and the car wont start. I assume it's the solenoid. We go get the solenoid, go to the car and it starts fine. We drive it home 1 mile away and it wont start again. I replace the solenoid and it shifts out of park fine now, but still wont start.
I was thinking it might be the crank pos sensor that I've been reading about, but it doesn't seem to start even when cold. (wouldn't when she got off work or after it has been sitting for 1.5 hours).
The inside lights are on...dash lights are on...headlights work.
No clicking, etc...nothing. Fuses are good. Haven't ran a jumper from the starter solenoid to the battery yet, but I don't think it's the starter... Thoughts?
Thanks for your help....

Ran the wire from the solenoid to the battery and it wouldn't start.
Tapped the solenoid while cranking and it started.
Looks like a bad solenoid.
