And you are fashion aware, does that make you gay? I mean, just cuz we're male, doesn't mean we're idiots when it comes to clothes, hairstyles, and style in general. Myself, I like to design clothes sometimes--especially dresses. But I'm straight. I like the ladies and am secure with my sexuality.
I just think it's a very bad stereotype.

Its not gay anymore, at least like it used to be. Maybe back 5 or 6 years ago, but now, its cool. Im sure many guys do things that would be considered gay, but just do it cause they enjoy it.

big 'so what?' from me,I am pleased to say.If being a clothes horse is your thing....good for you.As long as I can turn out to suit the day, I'm happy. If you feel the urge to wear all the 'right' labels, even when you are just mooching around the house,I'm very happy for you.Me...I tend to be laid back when it comes to 'fashion'.After all,the essence of fashion is doing what you are told is trendy. That's not me.:D

No, I'm not a label fiend. I'm actually anti-brand name. I just buy what looks good. I wasn't talking about that. I was talking about designing clothes and outfits. And no, I don't follow trends--I make commentaries and follow them if I like them, but I don't go for EVERYTHING that is in. There are ALOT of "in" trends that I despise and I'm glad I'm not brain-washed like some people into liking them. No, I trend set.

It would be silly to say that just because a guy is up to date on the current fasions and is dressed nicely that he is gay. This would be kind of like saying that any girl on this forum who likes cars and likes to work on cars is obviously gay.
I think i'm "fasion aware" and I try to be dressed nicely most of the time, of course my job calls for me to wear a suit so usualy you'll catch me in a button up and black slacks and a tie but sometimes I just have to relax and wear my ravekid pants that are ever so comfortable and whatever I find laying around in the way of a t shirt :p

no, I don't really think your gay if you design clothes, one of my buddies wants to make his own clothes and hes not gay. I personally don't care about clothes I put on what's not dirty and wear it.

As long as the clothes fit, I could give a rats ass if it makes "fasion" sense. The clothing industry is just like cosmetics - a rip off. They start a trend and berate you if you dont spend outrageous sums of money to keep up with it. Buts thats my opinion. However, if its something a guy is into, they are no more gay then anyone else. Its just their thing.

I my self love the causual look, sweater tops slacks, jeans button shurt. If it looks good on ya and you can afford it then why not. just make sure u match. better to look good than to look stuped.

I agree. I care about what I look like, to a certain extent. I don't go out of my way to look good for other people, except if I know I am going some place with really hot chicks. If there are going to be hot chicks then I at least shave, and wear something that doesn't have mustard stains on it.
As far as the whole namebrand deal, I don't really care what it is as long as it looks ok.

I don't consider people who are fashion aware to be gay. I find it normal to be fashionable. It's just those guys who pluck their eyebrows and shit that I consider gay. I don't think many in the US or other parts of the world do it but in Japan, teenage males pluck their eyebrows and they even have cosmetic shit with guides and stuff. I consider that to be very gay. I don't mind girls doing that cosmetic stuff but when a guy does that, that's just too much.:o

I like dressing important. Like the black suit with the gelled hair, and black sunglasses. If I had a breif case I would carry it, but I have to work with what I got.
As far as how I usually dress... I usually dress for the occasion. If I am going to the mall or just out, I usually just wear jeans and a pollo or a well fitted T-shirt. Nothing special.

I don't think that suggesting something for a chick to wear is gay at all. When you see an attractive girl you usually think "those pants really compliment her shape" or something like that. Like the other day this chick game in my store and she was wearing a yellow, sleeve-less shirt (some kind of stretchy material), some doc martin sandals, and capri style jeans with the fades on the butt and the thighs. It looked really good, and so did she :licker:

I have a male friend who is a true exception to the rule:
He honestly is the gayest straight man you'll EVER find. He not only designs clothes for himself and females, but he has made several prom gowns and he's really good at it all. He can do an awesome job on hair and he can help some with makeup. Oh, and he has and will willingly wear a dress of his own creation without a second thought. Gay you ask? NOPE. He is entirely straight. Some may say that I just don't know the truth, but I've known him for years upon years and I know well enough.

The clothes make the man. One does need to be careful about clothing. I saw an engineer give a speech about alternative energy while he was wearing a very loud blazer with a silly tie. Nobody remembered what he said, just his loud outfit. You clothing should be of high quality, but should also be tempered such that they don't detract from your presence. I'm not very good at explaining this, but I've seen so many successful people use clothing as an asset and know it works.

Lol, I have 2 pairs of A & F khakis. The only reason I bought them though was because they were at a discount clothing store called "Burlington Brands" and they were 15 bux a pair. I would never buy them other than that. I don't care about the brand as long as it doesn't look like it would fall apart the first time you wash it.

Now, I voted NO, because I think its all right if a guy doesn't wanna go outside dressed like a 6 year old on Summer Vacation. But, there IS a line that's crossed when your buddy shows up ready to hit the Pub and you stare at his clothes and you tell him he doesn't match... If it extends past your own personal fashion and you start critiquing your friends gear, then you got a problem.... Ha ha!:bandit:

I would have to disagree, My friend Ben one day told me that the longsleeve shirt I was wearing under my T-shirt didnt match, which I thought it did but oh well. Anyways, the fact that he says that doesnt make him gay. Hes got one of the most beautiful women I have EVER seen as his girlfriend as well, so if he's gay, Im gonna have to slap him in the face and ask him why he would be gay instead of having his current GF.
