Its probly seized to the bushing. Mine did that so I just cut the fork on the strut with a torch, cut the bolt and hammered it out. Then i just bought new bushings and threw them in with the new struts.

yes. heta them up cuzz thier seized.use air tools tho.just heat it up around the bolt.let it cool off.then take it off.if ur just gonna take the springs out than u can just take the whole lower controll arm off and than take off the nutts off on the top of the strut.

no way bolts never seize on Honda's suspension :grinyes:
Like they said it needs to be cut off. Do yourself a favor replace the bolt with a honda part or get grade 8 bolts(or better). Don't go to the hardware store and buy some $0.10 junk, suspension bolts need to be very strong. Most likely you will need a new bushing pressed in/out.

My lower bolts were both seized in the rear LCA's so i ended up replacing both control arms that include all new bushings.

it was hard as hell for me to get them off the first time i took off my suspension, my radius rod bolts were even harder. The best way ive found to get off bolts or nuts is to put in the wrench or ratchet and then hold onto something and use your foot and push with ur foot and pull with ur arms, works everytime for me. Brute Force usually always works.

what i did was get pb blaster and.... KAZAAM. evertying went smoothly until i broke the head of a bolt off in the lower control arm bushing where the strut meets in the rear. damn. that was a bitch, i stiill have to find a way to get that broken bolt out....i drilled thru enough of it to get the strut off but its still stuck in the bushing, damn.

yall peole quit to easy, all the cars I work on I'v only had one bolt sieze up to the point it needed cutting off. You just have to know how to manipulate them.

yeah im stuck right now with the car half lowered cuz ive been at college so i cant work on it like i wanna, but my fronts came off easily but with the rear ive tried a combo of pb and like 4 other rust cutters. Those little sob's will just not come off so im probly gonna end up cuttin em or drillin em out. im just gettin new bushings and bolts from honda for like 40 bucks

try the torch. but the best is just get the whole thing pressed out.dont need to take it off in that case
