Hey I'm looking into making a custom set of eyelids but I need to know where to get the material. I want them to be carbon fiber to match my hood and I want high quality, not some cheap crap. If anyone could point me in the right direction or give me some websites I'd appreciate it.

Good luck molding, shaping and cutting carbon fiber.

I want to make them myself considering I can't find any sites that sell the eyelids I want. I'm thinking about taking off a considerable chunk off the top.

And I don't plan on making them out of actual carbon fiber. I've seen rolls of lookalike material and I'm just wondering if anyone knows which one looks the best and most like real carbon fiber.

If I were you I'd buy a 3'x3' square of vinyl. I'm not sure if arts/crafts shops sell it, but you can try www.vinylmayhem.com or other sites.. It's pretty cheap.

do a search for carbon fiber matts. I've seen some sold on ebay. Its real carbon fiber that have been coated with a flexible clear coat, so its easy to mold. You can use that... trim it, and stick it over your headlights.

uh yah man if you've never worked with carbon fiber( or atleast fiberglass mat) i wouldn't do it. cuz it will be expensive as hell to mess up on lol.

do it with fiberglass and then lay the cf vinyl over it if your bent on having "cf" ones
idk where to buy the vinyl from, any hobby shop maybe?

i swear i've seen reall cf eyelids on ebay.. maybe buy those and carefully cut them?

You can get the "CF Look" windsheild style vinyl from a wholesaler. Around here there's 2 places, a place called multicraft plastics and another place. If you look up "stickers" of some varient in the yellow pages you should be able to find some suppliers. You can call up and see what they have. 3M makes it I believe, though it might be avery (I forget). It usually runs around $7-8 a roll yard for a 15" wide roll.
