well,when you disconnect it,
it does raise the idel
& it will throw a code in your ecu

if your going to do it,
just disconnect it,

dont pull the sensor out itself,
coolant pours

B16a vtec twin cam

wow,well,
thats probably not where your speed sensor is,
maybe someone on the AF has one installed & knows or somthin,
take it for a run down the track once in a while,
you have any pictures?(that would be best)

I would say stock vtec b16,
my friend had a b18 twin cam stock,aem,3" exhaust all the way back,
in a honda acura & he ran a 16.2

do u mean vehicle speed sensor if so its on the tranny and i dont think u will gain anything but a ecu code, no vtec and no speedometer

actually, the vehicle speed sensor is located on the back side of the instrument cluster. on cable speedo cars, the thing in the tranny is simply a gear to drive the speedo cable, which in turn drives the VSS on the back of the cluster :P

Electric VSS simply bypasses the cable and the gear that runs off the differential spins some sort of sensor directly, in which it then puts off a pulsed signal to the ECU... just like the cable one.
